This is one solid little piece of digital equipment.
I have about 80 dives with the Veo 250 on my SWIV console loaded up
with SPG and compass. No real complaints with the dive
computer although the SPG failed with only one week left on the
warranty. The good news is that they replaced it at no charge
and I was up and diving again within a few weeks.
The Veo works well and battery life is reasonable. Their website sums up its functions like this:
The SWIV console is pretty sweet. I like its slim design and the two places to attach a retractor. I keep mine on the end of a retractor clipped to the D ring at the right shoulder of my BC. This really works well. The HP line sweeps under my left arm and with the retractor the console is never dragging or in the way. My only real complaint is that the beeper in it
doesn't beep loud enough. There have been a few dives when I
glanced down at the computer and the warning light was flashing and
the beeper was beeping, but I couldn't hear it. This
could be a function of the noise from my reg exhaust, but still, a
dive computer's warning beeper should be loud enough to hear over
typical background sounds. I know I am being picky, but this
issue is serious enough to keep this great computer and console from
getting a 5 Star Rating. |

| The Bottom Line: Yes, I harped on the loudness of the beeper, but that being said, I really like this little computer and the SWIV console. I like it so much there is a real chance that this same rig will soon be on my wife's reg set. | |||||||||||||||
